Looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to bring people together? Whether you're planning a birthday, graduation party, retirement celebration, family reunion, anniversary, meeting, memorial gathering, or another special occasion, Speedway American Legion Post 500 would be proud to host you. Our rental space gives you more than just a room. With our commercial kitchen, food options, full-service bar, tables and seating, and friendly staff, we can help take some of the work out of planning your event so you can spend more time enjoying it. Choose from several popular food options, including finger foods, fried chicken dinners, pasta, and taco bars, or talk with us about something different you may have in mind. Bar service and a dedicated bartender are also available for your event. Whether you're gathering a small group of friends or bringing the whole family together, we want Post 500 to be a place where people feel comfortable, have a good time, and make some memories. Room Rental Rates

Post 500 Members: No Charge American Legion Members: $50 Non-Members with Food and/or Bar Service: $100 Non-Members without Food and/or Bar Service: $250 A $200 refundable room deposit is required when your event is scheduled. The deposit will be returned as long as the room is left in the same condition it was in when your event began. Room rentals are scheduled in 4-hour increments.

Let Us Handle the Food

One of the nice things about having your event at Post 500 is that you don’t have to worry about feeding everyone yourself. Our four most popular party options are:
  • Finger Food Buffet: $11.95/person Deli sliders, meatballs, cocktail weenies, fruit tray, veggie tray, and chips with salsa
  • Fried Chicken Dinner: $13.95/person Two pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and rolls
  • Pasta Bar Dinner: $13.95/person Choice of spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, lasagna, or chicken Parmesan, served with breadsticks and salad
  • Taco Bar: $14.00/person Ground beef, chicken, soft and/or hard tortilla shells, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, queso, sour cream, jalapeños, salsa, and chips
Looking for Something Different? Just ask! These are our most commonly requested party meals, but if you have something else in mind, let us know and we’ll see what we can put together and price for you.

Want a Bartender?

Want to make your event even easier for you and your guests? Bar service is available during your rental, so your guests can relax, enjoy a drink, and spend more time celebrating together. For $15 per hour, Post 500 can provide a bartender dedicated to your event. Whether your guests prefer a cold beer, mixed drink, or something non-alcoholic, having a bartender available is an easy way to add a little something extra to your gathering. It also means you don't have to worry about setting up drinks, keeping things stocked, or cleaning up a separate beverage area - we'll take care of the bar while you enjoy your event. Good food, good drinks, and good company - all in one place.

Tables, Covers & Setup

Our room is normally set up with 8-foot rectangular tables. Prefer round tables? We can swap them out for a $30 setup charge. Table covers are also available from Post 500 for $2.50 each. Want to save a few dollars? You’re welcome to bring your own table covers.

What Can You Bring?

Because Post 500 operates a commercial kitchen and must follow State Board of Health requirements, outside food, drinks, and ice are not permitted. You may bring store-bought desserts such as: Cakes • Cupcakes • Cookies • Similar Store-Bought Desserts Post 500 provides the dishes, napkins, and silverware for your meal. If you are serving dessert, please bring your own dessert plates, napkins, and plastic silverware.

Reserving Your Date

Your $200 refundable deposit is due when your event is scheduled. If you reserve the room by phone, you will have 14 days to come to Post 500, sign the rental agreement, and pay your deposit. If the agreement and deposit are not completed within 14 days, the date will be released from the schedule. Full payment for your event is due the day of the event. An invoice will be provided that day. Please Keep in Mind A 20% kitchen gratuity and 9% tax will be added to parties. The kitchen gratuity does not include gratuity for your bartender or server, if you choose to have one.
